Useful Links

From time to time we will add links to websites that, in our opinion, offer good value for money products or some useful information. Of course the internet is full of free stuff as well, so we will let you know what we find that is actually useful.

South Coast Service Directory
This is a useful online directory for anybody wanting to do business on the KZN South Coast. From holiday accommodation to maintenance contractors, it is all there.

Free Photo Editing Software
Anybody needing some photo editing software won't go wrong by downloading paint.net. This is a 100% free program and was developed by some undergraduates under the mentorship of Microsoft. Definetly worth a look. You can download the program from www.getpaint.net. One possible drawback is that to get the program to run you need to have the .net framework installed on your computer. This can also be downloaded for free but it is quite a large file.

Free Picture Resizer
While we are on the subject of photos. This is a useful free program that can be used to resize images stored on your computer to make them web or email friendly. Especially useful if you have a lot of pictures that you want to resize at once. Also useful if you have a number of images of varying sizes, you can convert them all into images of the same size. The original pictures are not lost as the program makes a resized copy of the original images.
Get it at http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm. You may find some other useful applications at this site as well.

Photo Stitching Software
Another free (For now) imaging product is the Microsoft Image Composite Editor. The application takes a set of overlapping photographs of a scene shot from a single camera location and creates a high-resolution panorama incorporating all the source images at full resolution. The stitched panorama can be saved in a wide variety of formats.
